Under the umbrella of the 47TH Annual Histology Conference, we announce the following (Hands-on) workshop entitled:

Stem Cell Biology, Isolation and Culturing Techniques

 

For undergraduate students: On Sunday 10th & Monday 11th of December 2023

For postgraduate students: On Tuesday 12th of December 2023

Place: Stem Cells Research Lab, Histology Department, Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine.

 

The Workshop includes:

1- Introduction Lecture on:

a- Stem cell biology

b- Stem cell isolation techniques

c- Primary culturing techniques

d- Possible microbial contaminations

 

2- Hands-on practical part:

a- Isolation of bone marrow stem cells

b- Preparation of complete media 

c- Cell counting using manual hemocytometer

d- Primary stem cell culturing

e- Isolation of stem cells from adipose tissue by enzymatic reaction (ONLY IN THE POSTGRADUATE DAY)

• For Undergraduate workshop (500 EGP)
• For Postgraduate workshop (1000 EGP)
