Abstract
In recent years technological devices have become a very important part of our everyday life. Both at work and at home everyone is exposed to electric magnetic fields (EMF). Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) networks are the most common inducers of EMF. Exposure to these radiations has many hazards effects on the level of histological structure & function of cells and body organs(ex. hippocampus, lung & testes). The damage effects depend on the distance & duration of exposure. EMR emitted from Wi-Fi devices exposure act by many pathways hypothesis such as hormonal pathway or oxidative stress pathways. EMR induce an increase in levels of oxidative stress markers , decrease antioxidant activity of enzyme, increase apoptosis, effect on the proliferation of cells , induce collagen deposition and may lead to increase the cancer risk. Recent histological studies reported that the use of many natural agents as antioxidants and regular exercise have ameliorating damage effects changes produce after or during exposure in hippocampus&liver. Nowadays, the utilization of Wi-Fi routers devices becomes unavoidable in work and inside our homes. If we cannot stop use such devices, at least we should control the usage of them through minimizing the exposure time & adapt to exercise and eat healthy foods rich in antioxidant agents. It’s recommended turning Wi-Fi devices off at night and put away from our bodies. Also, further researches about using new natural antioxidant agents with exercise to augment the protective effect against hazards of Wi-Fi radiation exposure.
